You need to clarify. Generally "Big4 Advisory" encompasses everything that's not audit or tax, so TAS would be a subset of Advisory, as would the strategy / ops practices, as would IT Risk & Control Advisory, etc. Which area of advisory are you talking about moving from? And is it relevant to transactional work?

currently work in a big4 advisory role in life sciences. work mostly revolved around performance improvement, supply chain and a little bit of secondary financial roles (do occasional work in due diligence and provide industry expertise for private equity firms/investment banks seeking potential acquisitions in life industries field...however its not explicit TAS work)

i want to eventually break into investment banking so looking to make the move to TAS to better position myself. i am considering an mba to help in transition, however given the costs of an mba these days and the unpredictability of evening breaking into the field...not sure if its the best route just yet

thoughts?
