Biotech/Healthcare Focused HFs?

I've searched a bit, but only found older threads that may not be as relevant in 2019, so hoping for some help.

A few biotech/healthcare focused funds I can think of are RA, Perceptive, Rock Springs, Redmile, Healthcor, Surveyor's biotech arm, Glenview, Orbimed. Any other big ones, or smaller ones, that I am missing? Outside of networking, and assuming solid experience relevant to the pharma/biotech industry, any suggestions to making inroads in these firms?

Hey Pmc2ghy, I'm the WSO Monkey Bot and I'm here since nobody responded to your topic! Bummer...could just be unlucky but one of these topics will help shed some light:

Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.

You’re missing many funds that have large healthcare books but are not 100% healthcare focused. You should be focused on the dollars invested in the sector and not the % exposure to the sector, since ultimately each sector head is a world unto itself. Other names to include are Paulson, Partner Fund Management, Viking, and there are actually many others.

I don’t know if this is what you’re looking for, but these names continually show up in my biotech investments when I’m going through the 13-Fs:

Aisling Sabby Geode Bridger Bridgewater Renaissance Perceptive ICON Acadian

Etc

Scientist: Molecular Cancer Genetics.

It's a very niche world, you'll have to network your way in. You're missing several:

Baker Bros, Venbio, Deerfield, Venrock, RTW, Boxer, Palo Alto Investors, Acuta, Great Point, Sarissa, EcoR1, Ghost Tree, Broadfin
