Blackrock Financial Modeling Hirevue First Round Interview
Hi everyone,
I received an email regarding a first round "virtual interview" with BlackRock's financial modeling group (for a summer internship). They offered me two choices of assessments I could take, one coding based and one based on "financial modelling statistics," which they describe as focused on "statistics and econometrics with a view towards financial applications." My modeling experience is shallow (only basics and a semi-successful case comp), and I haven't taken econometrics yet. Any insight on what the questions may be like and how to prepare are appreciated, I have five days.
I also received this email, my only option is the financial modeling statistics. I have not taken econometrics so we will see how it goes.
I also received the invite and I have no idea how to go about it. I have no proficiency is programming so that option is out. So now I'm stuck with the statistical modeling option. This should be fun
I took it today, it's just 8 multiple choice questions and they are pretty much solely econometrics. OLS, R^2 formula's, etc..
Thanks pal,
That's reassuring. Much less serious than I expected.
Did the questions involve calculation or were they theoretical ?
Hi, did anyone receive the second round invitation? If yes, what is it?
