blood in your shit?

hey guys, anyone ever have blood in your shit? happened to me a few months ago and happened again this weekend - saw the water in the toilet bowl was reddish and when i wiped my ass there was fresh bright red blood, nothing really hurt anywhere, but there was a substantial amount (maybe half the amount that comes from a normal nosebleed). i'm fine already, but still slightly concerning and nothing i googled really answered my questions.

TIA

Depends on what normal nosebleed means. If it doesn't cover the entire water surface, most likely a minor fissure (a small cut, hence the fresh blood). If that's the case, try not to strain, rest your feet on a small chair when you go, and soften (and after a few days, bulk) your stool over the next few days by food/medication to avoid reinjury. Best case scenario it'll be asymptomatic (i.e. no more bleeding, since you mention you have no feelings of pressure/pain/swelling at all) in a few days, and you shouldn't worry as many people who work long hours and high stress jobs deal with some degree of issues down there (esp. hemorrhoids). Note that this might very well end up becoming a recurring issue, but that in any case longer-term lifestyle changes should be adapted to minimize recurrence. I was going to put a joke in there somewhere but thought it'd be in poor taste. Best of luck, and do make a GP visit if bleeding persists and have your stool tested to rule out stomach issues, though most likely you should be fine.

Yeah, this is probably not the best place to ask this question. Google it and look for reputable sources like the Mayo Clinic, etc. If you still have concerns, see a a physician, if you can find one who has some availability .

How does OP get 2 SB's for this topic?

Anyways if you can't make it to a Dr. You can always try Teledoc.com. you can get an examination from home. Just be sure to show the Dr. Your ass hole on your webcam. You can also try cologuard, at home colon testing.

Times are changing!!!

Your welcome

Been there, bro. Fortunately, mine was just a little gut infection and the antibiotics cleared it right up. I'd definitely go get it checked though. On the upside, I got to go full monkey and shit in this hat looking thing. Then I got to use a popsicle stick to scoop it up and smear it in a container. Then I got to hand said container of shit to an attractive lady who worked at the lab. 10/10 would do it again.

It actually may have been a virus. Either way, it was a total non-event; I went home, took a shit, brought the shit to the lab and got some antibiotics. I was in high school so, the only salient memory I have is handing the shit cup to the attractive nurse with big boobs.

Check to make sure you don't have pilonidal disease. It's a cyst/abscess that forms around the tailbone/top of ass crack. It's more common in women but men can have it too. Generally peaks around mid-20s. You'll have noticed it a long time ago, it could have drained (mixture of blood and pus occasionally), but they can develop quickly. Most of seems to be due to genetics, but having a lot of hair in that area doesn't help. If it doesn't get better, you might have to get surgery for it, which currently is listed generally as elective and surgeons aren't performing it own as much with the virus. Hopefully this is not what happened to you, it's a real bitch.

I was supposed to get surgery next week because the one I had before was fucked up, and the surgeon told me today that it's fucking canceled since it's termed as "elective". I'm so livid, I really don't know what to do.

Sounds like you had a great time though!

How are your stools? Does it go down smoothly, does it look normal? Now I don't need to know the answer to those questions nor do I need to see any pictures, but keep that in mind. When my diet used to be terrible in college (all protein no salads or fibers), I used to think that I was shitting out extremely sharp Tinconderoga pencils, and those would come with some blood... After fixing my diet, my stools became normal and I never bled again.

If it's fresh it's probably just hemorrhoids, either internal or external - though the external ones you'd def feel (itch, pain).

But do get it check out, there's always a chance of it being something more severe.
