Bonus Question

On my contract it basically says that bonuses are paid bi-annually and bonuses will be paid based off of performance of the firm and my performance. There is nothing about percentages or what bonuses generally look like and it doesn’t say anything about the structure of my first bonus since by the end of this year I will have only been on the desk from September-December. Would it be rude to ask an analyst 2 or someone more senior how the bonuses work and what to expect? I know times are crazy right now and I feel that being able to save money and work from home is bonus enough but I am curious and genuinely have zero clue as to how this works at my bank. Is this a rude or tone deaf question to ask someone above me?
