Braces Out of Style for Younger Men (Under 50)?

I get the impression that wearing braces is out of place and out of style for men under 50. Is this true? I mean, I sort of miss the days when more guys could wear them and they'd look good. But now, in this GQ fashion day and age, it appears that younger men and maybe even older guys just shouldn't do it. Just wear a belt and be done with it seems the mantra.

What do you guys think?

Trends are cyclical, you have a chance to be a trend-setter, take it!

"After you work on Wall Street it’s a choice, would you rather work at McDonalds or on the sell-side? I would choose McDonalds over the sell-side.” - David Tepper

I would agree with Oreos statement above if you werent in banking. However, if you wear braces in banking and are under 55 (not even 50), it is so cliche and tacky that even your friends will think you're a complete loser for doing it.

In my opinion, leave it to the fashion forward stylists, celebs like Andre 3000, and red carpet statement pieces.

OMG People he is talking about suspenders, you idiots.

Yeah, but talking about the dental braces is a way more interesting conversation.

I dont think the invisaligns are all that bad. You can't really notice them unless you're up close to someone, and then it's only cause your teeth look shiny.

If I was a major rockstar producer, I would rock the old school metal with different color rubber bands to match my tie or something :) Hells yeah.

yeah, I started figuring that a little bit into this... I was gonna say, braces braces have never been in style. That, or I was a complete boss in the 5th grade...

Who the hell calls suspenders braces anyways?

Under my tutelage, you will grow from boys to men. From men into gladiators. And from gladiators into SWANSONS.

If you show up to work in suspenders, and you're my age, I will slap the shit out of you.

They are fashion forward. Appropriate if you can pull it off on a night out or in fashionable society, but in the office, not at all.

I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.

Kid showed up in suspenders last year and they sent him home to change. Real talk.

That's awesome.
