Brighton Park Capital?

Hey y'all, anyone have any insights or information on Brighton Park Capital? They are in Greenwich CT and looks like they raised a pretty large first fund in 2020 and have been investing actively this year (big checks, too. Couple of $100m+) so wouldn't be surprised if a second fund is around the corner.  People there are from other top growth/PE firms, EB, BB, MBB, etc. Just curious to see what else people have heard about the firm and what their reputation is

Founded by the ex-CIO of General Atlantic, basically as an FU after he lost out in their succession planning. Raised a crazy amount of capital for a debut fund, although I think like $100M+ of it is from the aforementioned founder. They're doing a few more services businesses than your typical growth firm -- not my area so not sure if those assets are good or not, but I can believe it's an underserved segment of the market. Fairly active on the strategic M&A front, at least for their majority deals. In Greenwich which is a slight bummer.

I've been impressed with their ability to win both competitive deals (SheerID) and catalyze more proprietary / overlooked opportunities (RStudio had been profitable for years and had been adopted by the entire universe without taking meaningful investment). Not sure if that's because they've really built something different or because they're paying bonkers prices (as GA was/is wont to do) but they're one to keep an eye on for sure.

Bump, any updates on them? Saw they raised 1.8B for Fund II and one of the cofounders left for THL. Could that be linked with THL launching their automation fund?

He left bc the pace of partner promotions (for others) was faster than he wanted. They’ve been promoting folks to partner rapidly - based on sourcing model. Firm is highly pedigree focused. They’re raising money off of DEI funding (some diversity reps in the senior ranks). Performance is decent - nothing rocket ship like.
