Bulge Bracket Wealth Management NYC versus small IB in random city?
Hi, my goal is to go into investment banking but also be in NYC at a large firm. Is it better to do a brand named internship in wealth management in NYC and network over the summer to get into IB for the next summer or should I do IB in a non NYC/Chicago/ATL/San Fran at a smaller not really named non BB firm?
Definitely do the IB at a non BB firm. Relevant experience is much more important than brand name starting out because you can lateral more easily from IB

What about location also, should I not care about this? Since in NYC I could network while being there over the summer?
