Dude since you've posted this same thread literally 4 times I'm going to give you an answer and pls delete the other threads. I was in the early interview process this year with the same program you are in and chose to go in a different direction for my own reasons.

In short, you will already be on the buy side. Screening for names, making models, drafting pitches & presentations and presenting them to your PM. Pretty sure LazAM has 1-3 analysts per PM in different sectors, so the exposure you'll be getting out of school will be fantastic. You really DO NOT need an exit opp from here. the hours & comp will be good and you'll be helping with the investment process out of college, and you'll get formal training. win win. if you want to exit to a HF it would probably be possible but you need to realize that 1, this isn't a stepping stope job like banking. they're going to be teaching you how to think like an investor over the course of multiple quarters and years, and 2. there are so many different types of HF's. you would have to focus on a specific strategy where your line of works aligns with it. extremely hard to go from ER AM to say an event driven or distressed HF. You'd maybe have a shot at Long/Short equity. PE would be a very slim chance, and if you went to banking you would literally be moving backwards career wise. Just work hard this summer and get a FT offer, grind for a few years, make PM and you'll start bringing in real $$. Or if you want to leave for a HF go ahead and give it a shot.
