Call with SVP of Capital Group

Hello all, I am in the interview process of the capital groups investment operations summer associate program and I networked my way into a call with the svp of the downtown office of that department. (they are an alum of my current school, reached out via linkedin)

My question is: what are some good questions to ask them? My next interview is a video interview with a recruiter next monday and I am hoping this call goes well so that some good will come out of it.

Some questions I'm thinking of asking: how did you get your start with the capital group? how has it been growing with the company over the past 26 years? in your opinion, how are the core values of the company reflected within your department?

any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Ask something specifically to what Capital Group is working on, or market topics that might effect the company. For example, if you think it applies to the work you'll be doing, ask how Capital Group is positioned with the new DOL rules coming down regarding fiduciaries.

I think the general questions are good to ask, but asking a question or two about current issues or developments by the company shows you have done research and are interested in the work they do.
