CALLING ALL CONSULTANTS-

What is a more valued major to help break into the field of consulting? I know engineering is a top pick at most places or usually a good gpa with any major... But I want to know what is more valued, math or statistics? Either decision will be followed by a MSF and CFA thank you

A particular major is about the least important thing to break into consulting. Just about everything else (school, GPA, extra-curriculars, standardized tests, previous internships, scholarships, sports etc.) counts more. Assuming all of the above is in place, any quant major is good, and any soft one is good too as long as you can show you can do math. That said, out of these two I would pick stats as these skills will probably be more and more useful on the job.
