Can We All Agree on this Issue...?

It was reported that the current POTUS called people who enroll in the armed forces - suckers and losers.  Can we all agree that a POTUS should not make disparaging remarks about the people who serve this country?

And it continues:

By the way the source the Washington Post is quoting is the Atlantic and it is unclear who the Atlantic quotes. The White house has officially denied the claims.

I just want to point out that Biden specifically was against desegregating buses stating that he didn't want his kids growing up in a "racial jungle". At Kenosha he said he didn't want to discuss his tax policy because "they'll shoot me". He also said 'you ain't black' if you don't vote for him.

TLDR Both presidents have said very insensitive remarks. Biden isn't a gentleman by any means and this whole thread is intellectually dishonest. Unsurprising, given that a SJW started it.

I'll use my real username once cancel culture is over and free speech has been restored to this country.

Why would anyone be surprised that this POTUS would make these statements?  He dodged the draft several times, he disparaged John McCain by saying he prefered solders who did not get captured and he attacked a gold star family.  The new statements are consistent with his prior behavior.

He may have made these statements (although you haven't provided even a link yet). My point, though is that Biden has made a lot of insensitive remarks as well, so trying to suggest (as you did) that Trump should not be re-elected based off one comment he said when Biden has made flat out racist comments is intellectually dishonest.

Trump is not gentleman, most people, even those who support him, realize that. I really don't think he said what the media claims he said. I know he insulated McCain, he dodged the draft and he attacks those who disagree with him, again he is not a gentleman. Yet, there is no proof he said what he said, so he's innocent until proven guilty. Biden has said a lot of shit, Kamala Harris, Pelosi just recently got caught at a salon, when she wanted them closed. Not trying to twist this, but the media and the other half of the country give Trump a hard time because he isn't the president they wanted.

You here people talk a lot of shit about Trump, but I didn't see a lot of coverage over the Isreal-UAE deal that just got signed. The Trump administration was crucial in that. Hopefully it can bring some stability to that god forsaken region.

Please cite your claims. Here are the source articles. I don't think Trump intended to diss the troops.

Edited - I don’t want to argue this fake issue.

I think Trump genuinely cares about this country.

Speechless

He is wacky, but why do you think he took his time to get elected versus chilling out in FL? He could have stayed out of caring for the US politically, but he has sacrificed much for this country.

I'm sorry but you actually believe that Trump has the capacity to care for anything or anyone but himself?

My assessment of Trump has always been that Trump is an egotistical maniac who wanted cross being a president off his bucket list. If he really cared for America, why did he downplay the whole COVID thing when his advisers told him not to? Why is he knowingly taking advantage of QAnon believers (who are just as dangerous as SJWs and has beliefs equally ridiculous as SJWs) for political gain and even endorsing QAnon believers as Republican candidates? Isn't that worse than Biden not openly criticizing SJWs (which he has by the way? Also makes his criticism on how Biden will allow sthe radical left to thrive moot because Trump himself is literally openly supporting batshit crazy radical right QAnon people).

Trump has thrived on dividing this country and he'd do anything (and clearly has) to "win", even if it destroys this country.

I don't think he cares about this country at all. He is in too deep and now can't pull back. He only cares about himself. Look at how he sucks Russia's dick and supports them over our own intelligence agencies, fucked up the handling of coronavirus even though it should have been easy (like it was for almost every other country) because it had to be a political issue, turned on our Kurdish allies and showed the world that America cannot be trusted, leaving the Paris climate thing and demonstrating how our leadership/country is retarded as fuck and doesn't believe the science that all scientists agree is true, etc. I am genuinely embarrassed about a lot of the policy actions he has taken and think it is shameful what he has done, and I fucking love this country, which makes it hurt so much more. Like no joke, in other countries, I just roll with the punches when I chat up a local at a bar and he/she comments on me being American, because at this point, they have every right to make fun of it. I personally know several of the high ranking military officials who have been in and out of his cabinet, and they all say that he is a fucking idiot and harming the country. Praising troops =/= caring about the country, and anyways, he attacks families of deceased soldiers. He has missed so many lay-ups that could have demonstrated that A) he has a brain and B) he genuinely cares about this country.

I’m not going to weigh in if it’s true or not, frankly we’ll never know for certain.

However, I think anyone making remarks about combat facing roles being “suckers” outside of those in the military is stupid. It’s not like people in infantry just happen to fall into it, outside of rare times (ex. Vietnam draft). It’s actually kinda difficult to get an infantry role, you really have to aim for it. Some people just feel strongly about that purpose of the military. There’s a lot of functions (I’m sure you know this), but someone has to do each role.

So of this is true (which is debatable), there’s no context or way to see this that is anything short of revolting. Again, if this is true- which I don’t care to argue one way or the other.

Oh this is a good one too:  "Biden visit comes under scrutiny over Jacob Blake Sr.'s anti-Semitic remarks".  I wonder why the media isn't reporting on this one?  Are they trying to hide Biden's antisemitism and the Blake family's (who they've been burning down cities for) racism?

"Earlier posts accused Jews of controlling the media and financial institutions; mocked White people as “crackers” and “pink toes;” described certain women as “hoes,” and expressed support for the Nation of Islam’s Louis Farrakhan."

"“The same pink toe Jewish people that control the interest rate control the interest rate they control Minds and money,” Mr. Blake Sr. posted on Nov. 6, 2017."

""A cracker jew can do whatever to a white woman for years but let a jig try it,” and “One day pink toes will burn frfr""

Man that's not a good look.  Good thing you have the MSM to cover it for you.

So you're a hypocrite along with being a giant pussy.  I probably should've known that.

Just showing the hypocrisy of you liberals.  But have fun martyring and burning down cities in the name drug addicts, felons, and rapists.

Personally, as someone with military and specifically a great deal of Navy/USMC family, any dwindling support I had for Trump went out the window when he disparaged John McCain and POWs... not to mention throwing General Jim Mattis and General John Kelly under the bus. Trump is a coward who is a draft dodger; those are just facts, not fake news. I can't believe my fellow Republicans keep throwing all of their principles away for this guy. I'm not going to support Trump just because he's not a liberal or I don't want my taxes to go up --- and believe me, I don't. Honestly, fuck Trump, I hope there is still a Republican party remaining after he's rotting in jail or in Hell. And if the Republican party doesn't want me because I won't bend the knee to someone with no values, fuck them too, I'll just go Libertarian.

I cannot agree more with this.

Let's also not forget that Trump is a damm HYPOCRITE who imposes double standard on just about anything - 1) he criticizes center left people for "enabling" the radical left when he himself has been enabling neo-Nazis and white supremacist groups + literally supporting another radical right group called QAnon supporters (essentially the right wing version of the woke) by literally endorsing several QAnon believers as Republican candidates, 2) criticizes countries that violate human rights while he himself has been enabling ICE to commit various human rights violations (being "tough" on illegal immigration doesn't mean being inhumane), and 3) tries to assume some sort of moral high ground when he's just about one of the least moral people out there.

I'd like my taxes low but I'm not going to sacrifice my dignity and morality. I hate to say it, but it's like making a deal with the devil.

Current Republicans are ensuring we will definitely move to a super socialist country in the future. They are burning down the entire future of the party to pander to the lowest common denominator. Now Trumpublicans hate McCain, Bush, Romney, Schwarzenegger...like what the actual fuck? I won't subscribe to this cult of personality.

I just have to wonder why some people are so willing to believe that this guy acting in the best interests of this country? People must think his policies fit their needs, and as a result, he or she willing to overlook his character flaws.  His actions throughout his life suggest that he is primarily concerned about his own interests. I am not going get into the long list of issues regarding his character but I am going to mention one:  he used foundation money to buy a portrait of himself!

It is a very unfortunate situation. I am an older monkey and a former member of a local young Republicans club at a time when conservative meant you had a strong moral compass. The party today has drifted so far away from the moral high ground.
