Canaccord Genuity Information Request

I've recently bumped into some folks from Canaccord Genuity and I was wondering if any of you monkeys could shed some light for me on their operations in the US. Specifically if any of you could discuss deal flow / exit ops for their offices in NYC, Boston and SF that would be amazing. I'd love to get a feel for what the firm is like - ideally from someone who works/worked there.

There is not a lot of up to date info on WSO regarding Canaccord Genuity and I've been told they are making a push to build out their IB business in the states. Maybe it's time the Canadian EBs got some love down here?

Dealflow for CG in 2011 and 2012 was insane, with Glencore / Viterra, H&R / Primaris, Opti, Sinopec / Daylight, just to name a few, boosting their fee revenues to the stratosphere.

2013 - 2014 deals have died down quite a bit, with mining suffering the most. The most recent 2013 exodus of 2nd and 3rd year analysts saw placement at various infrastructure shops, and private equity in Calgary. I'm speaking of course from the perspective of the Toronto Head office, but rumor has it up here that american and european dealflow is pretty good, but much smaller in size. The New York equity research team is tank though and has some of the best talent.
