Career Economics / Risk-Reward ?
Long-time lurker. Had a question for some of you:
I work at an emerging fund (L/S equity), where I'm one of the founding members on the investment team. I love my job and the guys that I work with - and by all accounts, things seem promising (if we take off and raise capital - which shouldn't be a problem because we've been consistently performing over a multi-year time frame - there's a solid likelihood of me making partner/PM). Again, this is an "if", and there's no charted plan here - although things seem to be heading in the right direction.omegle xender
On a different note, I've been getting pinged by recruiters asking me to explore opportunities at a few MM and a recent launch SM, and I've landed a couple interviews. I'm not that enthused about the MM opps (open to a conversation), but in the case of the SM, I have an opportunity to potentially make multiples of my current income (base + bonus/% of PnL), along with greater impact/responsibility, and again, a potential route to partnership.
Was there a question in there somewhere?
LOL. I imagine being pitched a thesis by him. One of those where you're 4 pages into the write-up and still don't know whether it's a long or a short.
