Citadel Summer Internship

Hi everyone,

I recently obtained an summer ITAP intern offer from Citadel and was asked to suggest groups I would like to work for. Besides some small-time equity research and a fund of funds experience, I have had little exposure to alternative strategies.

Does anyone have any particular suggestions for someone not looking to do anything too coding-intensive or macro-oriented? The strategies at Citadel available are listed here:
http://www.citadelgroup.com/asset-management/inve…
However, the equity team is not fielding interns for this summer.

Thanks in advance..

Good work kid. Let me just point out your crazy if you don't take Macro. I know you said that you want to stay away from it but it will teach you a lot about economic correlation. It will more prepare you for other opportunities and give you direction towards what instrument you may like imho.

PS - I'm bias towards Macro If you haven't noticed.

Please don't make me talk to you like an asshole...

Gotta love Global Macro....

Although, Ken Griffin is know for being a convertibles bond whiz.

U are correct.

Please don't make me talk to you like an asshole...

What did you end up taking? I was told there's nothing for equities and that I'd be put into contact with credit.
