Citi IBD Summer Analyst vs. Perella Weinberg Advisory Summer Analyst Position

These are the two offers I'm down to right now... thoughts? I'm leaning towards Perella. Summer analyst class of 5, give offers to basically every person who has done a summer there, growing firm more responsibility, more exposure to senior management (both at PWP and with their clients)...

But am willing to hear other opinions

Perella hands down. It's one of the best boutiques around. Unless this is Citi M&A, there is no comparison.

If by chance it is Citi M&A, I might say go with the firm where you like the people better, but I would still lean towards PWP. I have no knowledge of PWP's conversion rate, but if it really is near 100%, that is a very compelling reason to choose it over even Citi M&A.

thanks a lot guys. didn't know about the PE Recruting aspect; what is the post on Perella not allowing headhunters in, or on exit ops being squashed and staffing sheet being miserable?

turtles:
Everyone I know who joined Citi as a FO analyst wound up failing miserably. I don't know why and it's not an exaggeration. It's scary because I know like 10 of them.

When you say failing, do you mean that none of them finished their 2 year stint? Did they get fired/laid off, or did they quit out of exhaustion? Or, do you mean that none of them made the job to PE?
