Client-Facing

Hey all -

I've had the opportunity to work for a Family Office for a little over a year now and while I kind of enjoy what I'm doing (fundamental equity research; no manager investing) I really think my personality suits me better for the sales guys who bring by the sell-side analysts when in town, arrange for luncheons with other HFs, etc. I have no idea how to break into equity sales (I don't want to be a trader) but I also don't want to approach these guys we have relationships with and jeopardize my current job. Thoughts on how to approach this?
