I am wondering what people think of wearing the Cole Haan Oxford/Sneaker hybrids at work when not going to client (or other important) meetings?

I feel like they, particularly the more conservative soled ones, would be reasonable for day to day office use when not wearing a suit. (particularly in more walking oriented cities) along with dress pants/ khakhis and a button down shirt, but I would like to know what everyone else thinks. I walk about a mile a day during my commute and wear shoes out fast. I feel like this would be a good solution to either burning through mediocre dress shoes or swapping out of sneakers daily, when nothing important is happening.
I like them but kind of depends on your office... It looks like you're more senior so I think more people will be taking your lead than vice versa!
I'm in the same boat - commuting is brutal on your shoes, and I hate wearing sneakers into the office.
I think they work for you - i have a pair that i wear more casually, that i really like (very comfortable to walk in). I've seen them actually quite a bit around the office and even at some meetings I've traveled to - you don't even notice them half the time unless you are specifically looking for it.
I've slaughtered so many pairs of loafers, etc. that you've reminded me i need to buy a pair of something - maybe i'll snag one of these.
I'm with you and then some. My commute ends with a 1/10mi walk on polished marble, and leather shoes slipping is a given. The Cole Haans run super narrow though, and my initial 33% off mail order pair has to be returned so I can get the wide option, which doesn't appear to be discounted anywhere.
Not that this exist I am sure that we humans can create dress shoes with sneaker soles that look like dress soles.

Look at Wolf and Shepherd shoes. Pretty much exactly what you're talking about.

Yes and no, in an 'as expected' kind of way.
The soles are definitely more supportive. it's not like they're the best cross-trainer, because they are constrained by having to look like a dress shoe, but it is miles better than your standard leather-soled oxford. (The 'zerogrand's may be better here, but are too aggressive looking for my workplace) The top is still a high quality oxford, with all the good and bad that that entails. It'll break in, and it'll chafe a bit as it does so. It also doesn't have the stretch of a standard sneaker. I wouldn't want to run a 5K in them, but they are miles better than your standard dress shoe for everyday use.
