Competitiveness or just nosy?

I’ve recently joined a new shop, and there is a larger pool of juniors in this team. They’re mostly new as well (comps table and they will ask me what am I doing etc.

Look, I don’t mind the social interaction. We can have lunch/drinks and talk about work. But it has gotten to a point where I am scrutinised for everything I do, including talking to a senior (which will result in a “so what did you talk to him about?”). They will also ask me straight away.

They also seem to be very free because they like to talk via internal chat all day. My internal chat keeps blinking, which can get distracting because I need to focus on the task at hand.

Would it be rude to bring a black screen protector? How do I deal with nosy juniors who won’t leave me alone?
