Corporate Strategic Finance to Hedge Fund?

I'm a rising senior at a "semi-target" (non-business student at a school with a target undergrad business school but non-business recruits pretty well too) and incoming corporate strategic finance intern at a F50. I want to move back to my home city after college, and the city I live in has several hedge funds (between $1b and $17+b), so I want to explore the possibility of breaking in as a junior analyst/associate a couple years after I graduate. Assuming I get a return offer at my corporate job, do you think I would be decently well-positioned to exit to a junior analyst job at one of the many hedge funds in my (tier-2, think DC, Charlotte) city in a few years?
