Hi folks,
Need advice on how to jump from corporate venture capital to an independent venture capital firm. For context, I'm working at the venture investment team at a large conglo in East Asia and want to make the move to a VC firm in Singapore or Hong Kong.
I have a decent network in SG & HK but the main issue is that VC firms still tend to look for ex consulting/ib analysts. Any tips on how to better position myself? I've worked a few deals already, and definitely consider myself experienced for my age/rank.
Thanks

Surprised that they look for IB and consulting analysts over there. Stateside, I have been told by several VC people that my banking experience probably wouldn't be sufficient for me to break in.
