Played the first one and got my ass royally handed to me so many times. Looking into the second one but not sure which system I'm gonna get it for yet. The second one seems crazy because its just one huge world, I can imagine you running into areas that you're not meant to be in. lol

 

I beat demon's souls with relative ease, just bought dark souls on friday and shut it off after an hour. In that hour I would say I got 10 minutes into the game and I have lacked the encouragement to play it again after that.

I like mental challenges but seems a little ridiculous when the game is so difficult that you wonder if you are following the right path. From what I have gotten from it, I feel the developers thought the game's positive reception was a result of the unusual difficulty. I feel Demon's souls was great because of the "playability" despite the incredible difficulty level.
