Deloitte Consulting vs. Citi MO

Long time lurker, first time poster here.

Just to give a brief background I am graduating from a non/semi target school (basically a target for BO). I have completed internships at a Big 4 in the advisory group and most recently this past summer at Citi in the finance analyst program.

My question or advice that i'm seeking what is your take on pursuing Deloitte Consulting vs Citi Finance full time? (I've basically given up on a FO job search due to my school not being a target and applying from outside hasn't been too successful.)

Factors that I am taking into consideration are skills learned, internal growth/promotion, salary, and exit ops.

Ultimately i'd like to attend a top 20 b-school in 2-3 years if all goes well and on track (and possibly consider top a top consulting or FO banking position)

All input appreciated. Thanks.

I would tend to think Deloitte would give you a better shot at top b-school and then from b-school you can move to FO; I think the finance position might give a better shot at an IBD role, though. And then from IB you can of course go to a top business school as well. There's no single track for these things; be open to all opportunities that present themselves.

I'd make sure I got that Deloitte app in immediately, though. My school just closed the resume drop, first rounds are this week, and the final round for every school is, I believe, the 29th. Just a heads up if you haven't gotten your app in yet.

Nice. I have an interview this week as well. Not sure on salary, though. I've heard 50-60k but I really have no idea.

I'm not worried about how much it pays, to be honest. Deloitte is a legit name, should be a more than solid experience, and top b-schools will definitely like it. I think they also pay for b-school, too, which is obviously pretty sweet.
