Distressed / Special Situations Firms... East Coast Preference

Guys/Gals I know that there is a post from a long time ago but felt that given where we are in the cycle it would be good to began a new updated list of buy side PE (or hedge) and sell side/advisory firms that specialize in special situations, distressed debt, and restructuring investment or advisory. Obviously this list would be more valuable if we could add some of the less well known names.

"Hugh Myron" A ton of guys, I'm going to probably miss some obvious ones but off the top of my head: Platinum, KPS, Audax, Sun, HIG, Monomoy, Centerbridge. Blue Wolf, Comvest, Marlin, Tenex, York

Lesser-known?: Aterian, New Water, Stellex, Gamut, Staple Street, Centre Lane

Great list. Blackstreet does alot of really small deals in the space too.

Play the long game - give back, help out, mentor - just don't ever forget where you came from. #Bootstrapped
