While I don't like either, Trump and the Kardashians are some of the greatest marketers (perhaps businessmen/women is a stretch, but you could easily argue that) of all time.
To put the Kardashians and Trump even in the same breath is incredibly disingenuous. The Kardashians quite literally have been influencing (influencing might not even be strong enough of a word) the way women choose to look for years now. They implemented trickle down beauty where everyone copies what they do and those people are seen as more attractive. The youngest who is barely past her teenage years is basically a billionaire selling lip gloss. Their handlers (Mom and Co.) are actual marketing geniuses. Trump just lies and takes every side of a position and then when someone finds out he talked out of both sides of his mouth he screams about liars and fake news. His "character" is dependent upon the ignorance of the people. The Kardashians' characters are for the most part genuine to who they are as a family and only enhances their appeal (for reasons unknown to me).

The Kardashians and Trump both have little to no character. I don't even know what you mean by Trump's character is dependent on ignorance of people. In no way does Trump try to show himself as a high character person - and no one who voted for him think he has good character. They voted for him for other reasons (and because HC was also viewed as having a lack of character).
Whether you like it or not, Trump has been very successful at building a brand - slapping his name on hotels and plenty of other items, and having a successful reality TV show. He is very much like the Kardashians. Yes the youngest Kardshian is a near billionaire due to slapping her name on some lip gloss...just like Trump did for hotels, vodka, etc. It is an incredibly good comparison, and you have a big dump in your pants if you can't see it.

You can't possibly think he had $1bn in depreciation. You need to look at all the businesses that went bankrupt and the idiocy of his decision making. He owned 3 casinos on the same street, competing with each other, cannibalizing each other. Shareholders of the listco lost 98% of the share price, and then the company went bankrupt.
Please don't conflate that kind of colossal idiocy and mismanagement with depreciation.

I realize the title of the post is a troll, but he's clearly not the greatest "businessman". Though he IS the world's greatest marketer of trump. He is probably the most successful self-promoter of all time. He would not be nearly as successful at promotion if it was not for his own brand.
