I always lift at 5:30 AM. The weights are all unused, and the gym is empty. It also wakes me up and gives me more energy in the morning.
Unfortunately there gym opens at 8. Totally nosense stuff
I go to a 24 hour gym. It's one of those tiny ones that are usually only used by non-lifters. I got lucky and found one owned by a former professional bodybuilder, so it's stacked to the brim with weights and machines. It really is the best kept secret in town because most people assume the gym has no equipment.
Marcus, if I could throw MS at your gym, I would.
I lift as late as I can. My gym is generally empty and I can get my routine done in 45 minutes. A lot of people say that lifting late keeps them up, but for me if I don't burn off some energy before I head home, I can't sleep well.
The key is finding some routine that works for you.
I'm following your point man. Worth every minute

like to lay some pipe if we have time
Yes- every day at 5:30 am. One hour of intense excercise- could be spin class, boot camp, or weight lifting. Good way to come to work with a positive attitude and more energy and also ensures I don't blow a work out off.
I always worked out at night in college and find it impossible to have the same energy/intensity in the morning.
That's because your testosterone levels are higher later in the day than they are earlier in the morning.
Have to do it in the morning. Wakes me up and gives me more focus during the day. Also, frees up the evening and I can start drinking earlier.
Love the way you think. I always run in the morning on thursday/friday.
I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I’ll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now.
After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.
Haha exactly - this.
Didn't see that coming.
that's what she said
Classic.

Does your business card have a watermark?
Excellent
Typically work out every morning. I feel more energized throughout the day. And there's no pressure to leave the office to ensure I squeeze my workout in or feeling bad for missing a workout.
430 am rise and shine to go to the gym to lift and run 1.5 miles. Wash my ass and get to work feeling refreshed and ready to kick the day off. It's good if you are able to do that in the mornings. I have tried to sleep in and work out after work, but I don't feel the same way that I do when I work out in the AM.
4:45 am. Calisthenics and stretching. Definitely wakes me up. 5 minutes to a half hour.
Yes. I always go before work. As stated above, the gym is almost completely empty allowing for a quick and efficient work out, and it gives me an energy boost for the day. It also doesn't mess with my evening plans. If my colleagues and/ friends plan a spur of the moment happy hour, then I can easily attend without interfering with my work out routine.
The two biggest drawbacks are: (1) getting used to waking up early, and (2) a tired feeling in the afternoon. The first one goes away as it's just a habit thing. For the second one, I recommend eating a smaller and lighter lunch.
I can never get myself to wake up and actually get a good workout - plus the gym is usually busy at 6:00am. I usually workout at 11:00pm if I get out that early. I don't go to bed till like 1:00am but staying in shape is crucial when you're sitting all day and have dinner expensed
For years, I used to work out before work, but changed things up because of moving and changing jobs. So for the past few years I have been working out a few times a week after work. It definitely seems easier to skip a workout in the evening. I have been considering switching back to the mornings. But I'm remembering not liking the afternoon wall I'd hit.
Ahhh, we'll see what happens!!!
Workout during my mid day pause
No gym in my area...like no..but I will do some push-ups
Do one thing only, Yoga is Different from Exercises and Gym.
5 AM gym, usually around 45min to an hour. The most important part is to blast your most hype playlist, composed of Kanye, Ace Hood, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Brian Tracy, Zig Zeigler etc... Stretching is done while brushing teeth in the shower, because ain't nobody got time to be doing one thing at a time.
I love having my body torn af sitting at my desk, it provides great motivation not to get up and stops the RLS.
After moving I skimped on gym and my work life suffered. Try it out for 3 months, then you can reevaluate.
I hate going in the morning since all the soccer moms take up the whole gym doing their Zumba shit. Best part? They take all the dumbbells they don't even need.
I'm married with kids so working out in the evenings is no longer even an option. I generally workout before work, but I don't do these crazy wake up at 4 or 5 AM routines anymore. They're simply not sustainable for me. So I generally end up working out around 7:45 AM for about an hour and occasionally will workout during lunch at noon. I also have a diet and workout plan custom built by Renaissance Periodization. At the end of the day, diet and consistency is the most important part of building a desirable body composition.
Every morning.
I'm up by 5AM. Gym at 5:30AM (walk dog and let PWO kick in).
M/R - Upper Body Push T/F - Upper Body Pull W - Legs and Abs Sat - Fitness Activity (kayaking normally but also rock climbing, etc).
Also do SSC on M and Friday.
You get to the job with your blood already pumping and your mind clear from stress. It's great and recommend everyone do it.
Fancy!
I start work at 5 am, so no. I try to work out over my lunch break or after I get off for the day otherwise the stress burns me out.
does banging count?
It definitely does.
Rule of thumb would be on the days you get laid you could pretty much skip the gym for that day.
So yeah, as a result I am in the gym everyday at 6am.
I started doing intermitted fasting recently. So I do not eat after 9pm untill 1 pm the day after. If i can have a good session of 45 mins mixed with light cardio and HIIT, that would be perfect. otherwise i try to stick with stretching and some cardio, possibly 20 mins.
Same here - stretches, push ups, quick ab routine, bit of yoga... no more than 10 or 15 minutes before I shave. It's really all it takes to get your blood flowing and forces your mind to wake up faster. Follow that with a glass of cold water and shower that starts out boiling, then shock yourself with a minute of cold water. While the cold water flows through you, think about all the shit you are going to accomplish that day. Works wonders for me.
There are many ways to exercises, yoga, gym, Jogging, morning walk, Dance, what I prefer and best in all is the YOGA.
Skipping rope! As fast as you can! 1 min on 15 seconds break
Mornings are impossible for me even though I have set my alarm early probably 100 times. I start earlier than most too so working out is difficult. Its been really difficult to work out consistently after work too lately so now that I have a garage, I am in the process of turning half of it into a little home gym. Elliptical to smash out cardio quickly before and after work plus a squat rack and I am 80% covered.
