Please go talk to your HR. This question is for your HR, not for WSO. You could even talk to your MD/staffer. As a former Lazard employee and knowing they encourage secondments, I can't imagine the topic of post-grad education will create an allergic reaction to anyone.

...and I can't emphasize enough how much this forum is not meant to provide you with actionable knowledge and tips. This forum is meant for debates over the most prestigious schools and ranking banks.Ā

Now we could have a conversation if you were to have asked us to rank banks based on their HR departments. That's what this place is for.

On the real, I don't think banks pay for MBA the way consulting firms do. I've never heard of it or seen it.Ā

Banks don't sponsor traditional 2 year MBA's. You need to ask yourself why they would. They have a pipeline of post MBA associates to fill seats.

There are some one-off special programs such as partial to full sponsorship for exectuvive part-time leadership based MBA's but not a full on 2 year one where you leave the bank and come back...

Interestingly enough I know someone who just asked HR this question at Lazard. The answer was nope. They donā€™t sponsor EMBAs or MBAs given itā€™s not necessary for the job anymore.
