Don’t put non-IB people down

If everyone is trying to get into Ivy League or top 10 schools, the growing demand combined with the growth in US population will lead to getting into anything more and more improbable. Stop encouraging everyone to get into prestige or going into IB, because if everyone wants it, it will just get harder as there will be a limited number of positions. If someone is settled in by working for their family business instead of pursuing the “big dream on Wall Street”, putting them down just makes you more of an idiot. Some of these people are pretty smart, and if they all wanted what you want, you may find that you are out of a job. If people, like those who are okay with attending their local or state college, disgust you, then you really need to get common sense.

Everyone in the world can’t work in IB, so I have tremendous respect for those who chose not to pursue a big career, and they probably have better values than many people. Of course, having an interest in IB or wanting to do something big is not bad AT ALL, and that is great too. Just don’t put down those people who want a more simple life.

Lots of middle class people live much better lifestyles than IB analysts. They get to sleep 8 hrs a night and spend time with their loved ones.

While arguing against condescending to those not in IB, you went ahead and did exactly what you're arguing against.

Some people think it's a stupid, boring job, which would provide them absolutely 0 fulfillment and prefer to believe in fundamentally different things than the root foundation of banking.

I don't really care what you think. And I was an IB analyst at one point, so that disproves your point that IB analysts only do what they do because they care what other people think. Your thoughts are worthless to me.

Bruh, first we have to carry the dead weight of the rest of the economy while furthering the flourishing of humanity across the globe and now you say we can't even take a rest every once in a while? Just the merest pause to catch our breath, briefly unburdened???

That's cool. No problem. We do / did IB. We can do ANYTHING.

"well thank god your feelings aren't a fucking priority here"
