With IBs coming to campus in a few months for their firmwide and group presentations, I was just wondering...what's the dress code for these (as in, what do most u-grads wear)?

Every presentation that I have been to has been business casual. Some people wear suits, mostly slacks though.

I would be interested to hear what some people in the industry have to say about wearing a suit even though it is a business casual event.

Business Casual. Some people wear suits though (and some street clothes).

come however you want, (ok, not in your pyjamas or destroyed jeans); as long as you can communicate effectively, you have something interesting to say and don't just press the "play" button each time u talk to somebody, everything will be fine...Most people that go to these events are sooooo pretentious and fake, that if you follow this advice you'll attract attention.

I used to wear a blazer and no tie. The kids wearing suits I thought looked liked they were trying too hard and kids with just jeans looked sort of sloppy. I agree with the above advice about people being pretentious fake. Have a few intelligent questions prepared.
