Pre Employment Drug Screen
I got an offer at a middle market back and they do hair drug testing?? has anyone heard of this? I took one of my friends adderall about two weeks ago to study for tests. What are chances I lose my offer because of this??

Yeah, to be honest, you're more than likely screwed
It will most likely being a urine test and Adderall is out of your system within 72hrs. If you're worried go drink some cranberry juice and start working out.
they said hair or urine.. it was only 10 mg so it would be out of my urine but could hair detect such a low one time dose?
I've never tried amphetamines but usually hair tests can detect them up to ~ 1 month. I would ask reddit and find someone who can help you pass.
Drug Testing - Offer for first year analyst (Originally Posted: 11/28/2009)
I have an offer for a first year analyst in a New York Ibank and saw that part of the offer was pending a passed drug screening. Does anyone know if hair tests are ever used as part of these drug screenings? I could pass a urine test but a hair test goes back 90 days, which would be a bit iffy at best. Any help would be much appreciated.
urine test** pls excuse original post, very out of it today.
urine test
not joking
urine test. They would only give you a hair test for cause (e.g. if you showed up to work stoned), not as a simple pre-employment screen.

So I know the two main ones: Hair and urine. Today my roommate told me about blood tests that analyze your metabolites, he says 3-5 months in the past.
I had never heard of a blood test used by any BB, he said his friend had to do this blood test for Goldman.
Can anyone confirm/deny this test at Goldman or any other BB? And what exactly are the specific tests that each BB uses...
I'm sure they could but that seems a bit absurd. A hair test goes back like 6 months and a piss test is a month or so. Why they would opt for a blood test is beyond me. I think your friend might be exaggerating a bit.
I've personally never heard of anything other than a urine test being administered.
Blood test almost never happen.
Most common is urine, with saliva gaining in popularity.
Don't worry.
they require genetic testing - to see if you are worthy
I can confirm this from multiple sources
Goldman's analyst program is for taking your blood, not the drug test. But seriously, blood/hair is all scare tactics unless things have dramatically changed. They want you to pass, it is in there best interest, they already hired you.
I'd be tempted to call bullshit on the blood test. It's a business position, not law enforcement.
i hope to god i never get a hair test
