Easiest consulting firm to join? EY, KPMG, Deloitte, PWC, Accenture, etc..

going the opposite direction of other posts...rather than looking for the most elite consulting firm...which consulting /professional service firms are the easiest to join, when you have only a 3.0 GPA from a non-elite state school, and no corporate experience?

i'm asking for my nephew, who just graduated college from a generic business mgmt undergrad, but has no practical corporate experience. He was an asst basketball coach for a no-name school for a year, so he thinks he would do well in a sales role...but he has no corporate experience, and so needs to get hist 1st real job, and so looking for an easier consulting job for him.

Would an entry level Operations or HR position at a bank for 1-2 years enable him to apply (successfully) for a 1st year consulting position?

thoughts?

This might be a hot take but firms like Accenture, KPMG, and especially Capgemini/Genpact have large "consulting" arms that are essentially body shops that aren't super demanding. Some folks may snicker and say that they'll take just about anyone, but they'll provide at least passable brand names that your nephew can take elsewhere.

Don’t kid yourself. You’re not getting into ACN or KPMG Strategy without strong credentials and a rigorous case interview process. The MC arms may be slightly easier but not a walk in the park like you suggest.

Yea KPMG, EY, Bearing Point, Huron and the like are infinitely easier to get than MBB or even Strategy&, but the typical profile even at these places is nowhere close to no-name state school 3.0 GPA... its more like solid grades 3.5+ from a US News Top 50 Uni

i'll let your nephew consult my firm, if you know what i mean
