entering consulting firms

mornin to y'all.
i'm a prospective monkey. good for me.
i was wondering a few things i was hoping to get answers to if any of you would be so kind (will be much appreciated)
i'm studying in an undergraduate program in israel's top uni. majoring economics (considered one of top 3 econ progs in europe) and east asian studies. fluent english, french, hebrew, functional italian and chinese by end of studies. top student and whatnot. some extra curricular activities and leadership, three years experience in israeli military intel, with some leadership here and there... leadership leadership leadership
question is this: i was accepted into a program that gives me an mba from this uni in my fourth year (three year ba program) which is kinda prestigious (only top students accepted) and as a result i don't have to do the gmat for the mba.
however, i'm wondering if my credentials are enough to get me into bcg or bain or the like. if anyone can tell me about odds of getting into IB/HF/etc as well - such as GSachs/citadel/any other big players that pay well and DO WELL, i'll much appreciate it.
one tangent question is if any of those firms want to see a gmat score or whether a gmat will be useful only if i intend to apply for a bschool in the US?

thanks a bunch (bunch of bananas, that is :P )

but it can't be that easy, can it?

what i mean is, don't the consulting firms usually look for people from prestigious bschools like hbs, wharton, stanford, and the other top 20?

Do you know what sort of firms recruit on campus? Talk to career services at your school to see where people tend to end up after the fourth year MBA.

"undergraduate program in israel's top uni. majoring economics (considered one of top 3 econ progs in europe) and..."

Seriously? Do you really think that Israel has one of Europe's top three econ programs? What a joke...

i was wondering how long it would take for you to come along. i've seen you do the same to this high-schooler lol.. tho that was really a little hard to believe.
yes, the hebrew university's economics program is ranked as top in europe. the university's overall ranking is among the 100 best in the world.
just to support my claim with healthy logic: hebrewU receives loads of cash from wealthy jews abroad. hence the capacity to be good. two of our faculty are nobel prize winners in economics.
i hope next time you see me post you won't slander my authenticity so blatantly and uneducatedly.

@ringtailed
one of the problems we do have here is a completely useless (nonexistant?) career service center
we israelis believe in doing everything off the bat, like uncivilized assholes. then again that's why we win.

Err ... I think you need to check Wikipedia for a definition of Europe.

eyfo atah lomed? universitat ivrit?

Without knowing your gpa and other stuff, you don't seem all that different from most israelis I know...most everyone has military experience and is fluent in a couple languages.

But I think your qualifications are probably fine for consulting; your problem is getting your resume in a recruiter's hands. Submitting online won't help...

@brown i didn't write the statistics, they were constructed in an academic survey by the university of shanghai if i'm not mistaken, based on the number of papers published in each institution and the number of quotes in academic papers attributed to our faculty. and i don't remember most of the institutions you mentioned having nobel laureates on their faculty either. but this is kind of a useless discussion. bottom line is my statement wasn't pulled out of anyone's ass, assface. go find a hobby or something, other than bashing other people's credibility.

@lovehex
akhen, lomed ba ivrit.

how do i get my resume into a recruiter's hands?
