ER Starting Salaries
Anyone know what starting salaries are in ER at the various firms for first years right out of undergrad? Looking to see how my comp package compares to rest of street.

10k base + 70k bonus was last year's starting at BB firms, boutiques or MM may be less.
Flip those around and I would say pretty accurate.
Ok yeah my MM comp is lower. Is 70+10 pretty standard across BBs?

Why does that sound like it's on the lower end? When I discussed comp, our expectations were managed around numbers that were twice as much as the range you pointed out for the bonus.
Bullshit on the bonus.
My starting comp was 75K base and first year bonus was roughly 40K. Scales up quickly but plateaus before you make analyst (I work at a strong boutique). If you are good (and your analyst is good/ranked), your total comp should be very similar to that of IBD.
I was told 30-40k. Makes more sense.

I thought it was around that too, but your post about it being the other way around threw me off. This is why you should never listen to flake.

Some of this sounds like wishful thinking. There may be outliers but first year associate all in salary out of undergrad generally ranges from $50-$100k with 50 being at regional boutiques and 100 at BB's. If you're making >100k in ER right out of school, you're being overpaid. Past datapoints are probably not too meaningful, especially for this year, because commissions are drying up across the street and that will negatively impact bonuses. An associate can probably top out at $250-$300k but that is for someone with a few years experience, CFA or MBA, and who is covering or semi-covering stocks. A more common plateau would be $150-$200k.

My starting was 55K + 0K signing bonus.
Valid point that the environment is materially different however thats a generalization. Our desk hasn't seen a recent drop off in commissions (in fact, I remember an email being sent around my group discussing how they are abnormally strong).
On the otherhand, I'm in Canada.
70K base w/zero experience, zero sign on. Upper MM bank, along the lines of RBC and WF
