Evercore Menlo Park Healthcare

What are people's thoughts on Evercore Menlo Park's Healthcare team. Why is the team split between NYC and Menlo Park? Are exit opps and prestige considered to be the same or similar. I'm interested in PE after banking

According to what I learned from OCR:

Evercore Menlo Park Healthcare is focused on the life sciences M&A (biotech, pharma) due to the strong presence of biopharma in the Bay Area. Location in Silicon Valley (on Sand Hill Rd according to their site) gives good access to VC/PE also.

NY Healthcare team is more focused toward medical devices/healthcare services. Ofc, location in NYC gives great access to traditional exit opps/headhunters.

Exit opps and prestige are great for both. Both have great deal flow and I believe are growing.
