Is insider trading illegal in this?

Most likely. Here in Norway we have a simmilar competition, lot smaller prizes though. Two years in a row the winners has been caught cheating. First year a guy manipulated prices in illiquid shares. Second year a controller in a distressed company traded the newsflow for two weeks.

Never pay in cash, never tell the truth and never play by rules

Looks like we have a winner. Funny stuff only 2.2 million return. That sure is a lot different then before the contest restarted....HA! Too bad though and scalping was no longer a option, the loading time changed between transactions.

I was at the 99% before it restated, and I don't even trade or study the market. Either the majority of players were horrible or this hole thing was a gambling game.

They reset the contest about a month ago. So all gains are from starting ~ a month ago.

Well Yea I pointed that out. But the contest reset on the 21 of oct. That was about a month in. And by that point leaders had over 4 million. Yes they cheated, I was making that point. It was quite a difference.
