Excel Knowledge for Asset Management

Anyone know about the amount of excel knowledge needed to perform well in an asset management role. Also what are the important functions that I will use and/or specific excel courses that could be helpful? Thanks.

 

In my experience it doesn't need to be as extensive as development and acquisitions but learning to navigate without a mouse is very helpful. Being able to be proficient in data aggregation is a big part of the job. Each asset management team will be different but ours utiliizes a lot of vlookups/index(match) functions for simplifying monthly and quarterly financials.
