Favorite Podcasts

What are some of your favorite real estate/investing podcasts? There seems to be a lot of garbage podcasts out there when it comes to real estate mainly for retail investors trying to do build their own small portfolio. There aren't that many podcasts that I have been able to find with valuable market insights. Below are some of the best podcasts that I currently listen to in real estate and investing:

The RealCrowd - High quality content, super informative
Super Investors - quality market insights
We Study Billionaires - Provide great summaries of Billionaires and their careers/strategies

Feel free to post podcasts that you have found to be valuable.

Leasing REality is good, a variety of guests are on the show. Most valuable if you are in NYC market

I've heard good things about the "The BiggerPockets Real Estate Investing Podcast," not sure if it's geared more towards smaller investors.

Leading Voices is amazing and has interviews from the best minds in development and cre. I would also recommend Smart Growth development podcast for those interested in developing projects on their own. Bigger pockets would probably be a little too basic for people on here since it's made for non-real estate people.

I'll echo Leading Voices. Great podcast with some of the biggest names in the industry. Also has some interesting episodes with visionary developers, architects, planners, etc. for those interested in the qualitative side of CRE.

Behind the Bricks has some good content for NYC.

Newer podcast but The Corp with Big Cat and A-Rod is pretty decent. Alex Rodriguez has done a good job at amassing a solid MFAM portfolio and has had an interesting transition into real estate post-baseball.

They also did a sit down with Barry Sternlicht which was very interesting. Definitely worth a listen.

Here's my list. Hope it helps:

Institutional CRE

  • Monumental | Entrepreneurs | Visionaries--Evan Holladay is a successful Developer and has some cool guests
  • The Commercial Real Estate Show--Definitely a must-listen. Michael Bull interviews some excellent guests
  • Real Estate Espresso--digestible and daily content ranging from Institutional CRE, REI, mindset, and book reviews
  • Leading Voices
  • Behind the Bricks
  • Nareit's REIT report--10-15 min digestible content
  • Privcap Private Equity & Real Estate Podcast--PE-focused as the name implies
  • Institutional Real Estate, Inc. Podcast--Kind of dry at times, but still interesting here and there
  • Real Estate News by Blau Journal--friendly host, good guests, sometimes spotty sound since he interviews them at their offices

CRE Tech

  • Fifth Wall Podcast
  • Dislocation
  • National Real Estate Forum--focus on crowdfunding
  • Duke Long Commercial Real Estate Show

Real Estate Investing

  • BiggerPockets--must-listen
  • Cash Flow Connections--great guests and the host breaks down complex topics very well into understandable content
  • Old Capital Podcast--from the lender's POV and focus on the Texas markets but solid content all around
  • Apartment Building Investing with Michael Blank--the top dog in apartment building syndications
  • Passive Real Estate Investing--He runs a national turnkey company, so he doesn't focus on CRE, mostly single family.
  • Wheelbarrow Profits
  • Investing in the US with Reed Goosens--for all you international folk looking to invest here
  • Investing in Real Estate with Clayton Morris--his business is controversial but he and his wife put out solid content on his show.
  • The Real Estate CPA Podcast--focus on tax strategies (but it's not as dry as you may think)
  • Real Estate Nerds--focus on legal strategies & "the worst deal* (but it's not as dry as you may think)
  • The Real Estate Launchpad
  • Old Dawg's REI Network--targeted to older demographic but still generally good content
  • Joe Fairless's Daily podcast--longest daily show that features some big names: Barbara Corcoran, Robert Kiyosaki, etc.
  • Rental Income podcast--focus on mom and pop rentals
  • Multifamily Legacy Podcast--he rambles sometimes, but good content overall
