Following up on Networking Emails
Hello fellow monkeys,
Rising sophomore at a non-target here. Everyone on in this forum mentions how important it is to follow up on a networking email 2-3 weeks later if they don't reply. Could someone elaborate on what I should include in that email? Should I send a separate new email that re-states what I had said on my first email or should I reply to the conversation (my initial email). If the latter, what would you write on that reply? Thank you very much in advance for anyone willing to give a hand!
I would reply to my initial email. I usually say that I’m following up on the request for an informational chat. I’d also say that my schedule is open, so I could accommodate any time that would work for them.
This is great advice -- thank you!
Reply to initial email. Say you just wanted to follow up. Reiterate interest in their firm and say you'd appreciate any time they may have.
This is great advice -- thank you!
