For WFH, is it okay to wear a suit top half & sweatpants?
Dumb virtual summer analyst at a BB here, so please excuse if this is a dumb question, but I've got no idea if this is acceptable

Most likely won't even need the suit top half.
^ retweet. Our bank (BB) told us business casual and to maybe have a blazer around. Maybe suit top for first day or 2 but you’ll get more guidance & relaxed dress code for sure
Nah your staffer conducts full body drip checks every morning via teams/zoom
No def wear dress pants. One time an interviewer over zoom asked me to stand up. I was in my boxers. Needless to say, I did not move on...
why did he ask you to stand up
It was at the start of the interview lol. Idk I'm guessing he wanted to see who was actually wearing pants or not unfortunately
Sounds like bullshit to me lmao
Yeah it is. I was trolling thinking it would get me SB's but looks like I just confused people. Good eye lol.
At least you had boxers on

it depends on your team’s vibe and the reason for the call. On client deal calls we all wear golf polos and on internal calls we all wear tshirts. As an intern, for client calls your camera will most likely be off and for internal calls no ones gonna care. I’d wear a polo just to show you give some shits but def not a suit unless that’s the norm in your group.
I keep getting older... The interns remain just as clueless.
Yes of course that's fine if not overkill, no one's doing a body exam, get your work done.
Unlimited downside but limited upside
I interned last summer and I wore a dress shirt when I had to be on camera and all the FT people were wearing t shirts for team calls and were all cameras off on meetings with external people. I highly doubt anyone during the internship itself will ask you to "stand up."
I wore suit top and five inch red Lululemon shorts in every single one of my superdays and went 3/3.
No one wears suit for WFH. Client calls either polo or dress shirt. Internal calls literally whatever you want (I’m usually in a t-shirt + quarter zip or golf polo). Wearing a suit is such a goober move. It’s pretty funny though because our new first years that just study training last week are all wearing like full suits during training virtually (even some of them keeping their jacket on all day). Gives me a good laugh when I had to hop on the call and run them through something. I think you tend to think (myself included) when you first start in banking that everyone is wearing a suit all day during the week. In reality (at least at majority of places) the only time you will wear a suit is in a pitch with a client (in an in person scenario, even then depending on the client and the group bankers may want to dress down some to not overdress - ie you feel kinda weird if you’re team is in full suits and the clients are in t shirts and athletic shoes, a lot of the time we will have a pre meeting call to discuss what we are going to wear and who gets what slides to discuss which is kind of funny)
