No def wear dress pants. One time an interviewer over zoom asked me to stand up. I was in my boxers. Needless to say, I did not move on...

Analyst finishing up first year WFH -

it depends on your team’s vibe and the reason for the call. On client deal calls we all wear golf polos and on internal calls we all wear tshirts. As an intern, for client calls your camera will most likely be off and for internal calls no ones gonna care. I’d wear a polo just to show you give some shits but def not a suit unless that’s the norm in your group.

I wore suit top and five inch red Lululemon shorts in every single one of my superdays and went 3/3.

No one wears suit for WFH. Client calls either polo or dress shirt. Internal calls literally whatever you want (I’m usually in a t-shirt + quarter zip or golf polo). Wearing a suit is such a goober move. It’s pretty funny though because our new first years that just study training last week are all wearing like full suits during training virtually (even some of them keeping their jacket on all day). Gives me a good laugh when I had to hop on the call and run them through something. I think you tend to think (myself included) when you first start in banking that everyone is wearing a suit all day during the week. In reality (at least at majority of places) the only time you will wear a suit is in a pitch with a client (in an in person scenario, even then depending on the client and the group bankers may want to dress down some to not overdress - ie you feel kinda weird if you’re team is in full suits and the clients are in t shirts and athletic shoes, a lot of the time we will have a pre meeting call to discuss what we are going to wear and who gets what slides to discuss which is kind of funny)
