Too bad the deal wasn’t an H1B sponsorship, then M&T would get it!
M&T group basically doesn’t exist (is remerging with Tech) because at this point everyone left or got fired. The main media MD got fired and the old GH is gonna get chopped very soon.
Think the plan is to basically give up on M&T coverage and have a minimal presence (probably just the 2 junior MDs still there, one for media one for telecom) to run LevFin / Sponsor trades and small WM client deals.
So obviously they wont be on a deal like this, or realistically any scaled m&a deal.
Didn't they hire a new MD for media (ES) like a year ago?
