If you were forced to leave IB (4 months instead of planned 8 months), what other division in the bank would you move to and why (the ultimate goal is to return to IB as soon as possible)?
I am currently in this situation and was thinking moving to ER/ECM/DCM/S&T

Well I'm a little confused because ECM and DCM at many shops are considered IB, but if those are your options, I'd probably choose DCM as first option.
Take LevFin if possible
Go for DCM. From my personal experience, they are the closest group to the IB teams.
