Fordham ( Gabelli ) or Penn State ( Smeal )
I have been accepted to both Fordham Gabelli School and Penn State's Smeal school. My career objective is to work in IB / HF. Which of these two will get me closer. Gabelli is near NYC and Smeal has a large Alum. I need advice in the near term.
Thanks
PS: I do intend to transfer / pursue MBA in the future.
Fordham is a "better" school. Needless to say if you plan on using this as a step to trasnfer, crush grades it wont make a huge difference which school your at
No it's not
I think you'd have to be absolutely fucking crazy to choose Fordham over Penn State.
Smeal has a large alum base, but if you want to be on the street, then go to Gabelli. Their location has allowed them to gain a huge presence on the street.
Penn State if you can get into Schreyer and the Nittany Lion Fund. They place way better...trust me I got numbers to back it up. PM me if you want
Neither, attend whichever one you want and then transfer to an ivy with a 4.0 - I know of people who attended both and managed to transfer to ivy league with 4.0's.
@Green_Bananas I'm currently in a very similar situation, would you mind sharing those numbers with me? It's appreciated.
Thanks for all the responses. How does rpi's lally school rank on the street? In one year it was ranked 2 nd for QF.
I would not send my house cleaners kids to Penn State.
On a more serious note, crush it at wherever is cheaper and transfer.
I think Case Western is better than all of them.
