freefly716Thanks so much guys! Really helpful stuff. I'm not obsessed with pay, but it's nice to know! The bank I'm interning in takes about a dozen freshman front office interns a year who almost all transition to NYC/London for their sophomore year, so that's what I'll be doing if I put in a good shift I guess. And I'd guess Mumbai is about even with the Japan BB.

Can someone please explain prorated pay? I haven't heard of that term very much, does it have something to do with interns getting an even salary with the analysts, except for the shorter time span?

Pro-rata is just a way of saying you're technically on a £xx,xxx salary, but you're only getting a portion of that as you're there for 2 months, etc.

It just sounds better to say £40,000 salary pro-rata for 10 weeks, rather than £7692. I'm curious as to which BB is offering summer internships for first years (freshman) - there's nothing of the kind in London.
