FP&A and Finance Analysts Holiday Season Hours, Busy Seasons & Work-Life Balance Question.
Do FP&A and Finance Analysts (Analysts, Sr Analysts, Managers), usually have busy seasons (due do Budget season/ annual plan season) during the holiday periods (Thanksgiving and Christmas). Like working 50- 60 hours during that time. Would it be possible to take a week off for Thanksgiving and 2 weeks off during Christmas.
I am just asking as I recently received an offer for a finance analyst and I am interested in this route. However, my family life is highly oriented during these two time periods (holiday seasons) and I am always expected to make the trip back home.
I also wanted to inquire how the work-life balance is for FP&A. Is it usually 40-50 hours? How long is budget season and how many hours would a person work at that time.
Thank you in advance.

I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.
I have never had any issues around the holidays, it’s usually a push before the holidays to get work done so you can get off and relax without worrying about work.
