I am just wondering what my chances would be in the future of getting into a macro hedge fund. I graduated about a year ago and started full time on the buy side for an insurance company's internal mutual fund which is macro based and $10B AUM.
What are my chances of getting to a macro hedge fund after 5 years?
My team is quant in doing analysis (covar,corr,co-int,etc) with macro news being the driving factor of course. Can the skills I learn and hopefully master help to get into a hedge fund in the future?
