FX Derivatives vs Equity Derivatives (Options)

What're the hours like for these two desks? I know if you're trading spot FX, the hours might get crazy, but what about options? Also, are you usually trading OTC or options on futures? Furthermore, can anyone comment on the cultures and personalities of the two desks? Lastly, compensation-wise, does one have greater potential than the other?

-Thanks in advance

Speaking to guys working in EQD, I've found that their hours depend on their clients (institutional vs corporate). Average seems to be 12 hours starting between 7 and 8am. Anybody with differing experiences, feel free to chime in.

I'm curious as to which product is more mathematically involved, and which area has room for more growth and expansion. Is one area a lot more profitable than the other right now? Also, what products are most popularly traded in FX derivatives and EQD. I would imagine options for both, but for FX, is it options on futures, or more exotic/structured OTC stuff. And for EQD, are we talking stocks or are indexes traded more often.
