I'm fairly sure they merged with canaccord

Genuity Capital Markets merged with Canaccord; my guess is that Genuity Capital PARTNERS is the PE arm of Genuity --> if so, not sure if they were picked up in the merger or spun out, or spun out before.
If not, it could just be an MM PE firm with a coincidental name, or former Genuity guys who started it.
They interviewed on my campus thousands of years ago when I was in undergrad. I recall talking to one of their analysts in the hallway while waiting for class; she looked and sounded depressed.
That's my $0.02.
I'm sure there's a relation to the investment bank (formerly Genuity Capital Markets before the merger), but I think this is a spinoff private equity group. Seems like they are really under the radar.
They weren't merged in to Canaccord - separate group.
