I wonder when we'll see more footage that shows how long he was on the ground with a knee over his neck.
See https://streamable.com/smlf8g already posted
However, I wonder why you would like to see more footage of the officer with his knee on Floyd's neck? Putting a knee on one's neck is a technique not only used in the US, but also in Israel, the UK and France notably.
You seem to imply that he somehow died because of the knee on his neck, whereas he was already screaming "I can't breathe" in the police car. Don't you think that the combination of coronavirus + sickle cell disease + lethal doses of fentanyl and methamphetamine in his blood could have contributed way more to the outcome of his arrest than the non-lethal technique used by the police officer?
Shit if I know dawg. I wouldn't be surprised if those factored into his death, but maybe they were marginal in comparison to how long he was being deprived of oxygen. Honestly, it looks like he was unconscious for a couple/few minutes. It can only take 30 seconds to kill someone with a good rear-naked.
I am not sure what the purpose of this post is, other than to generate a heated discussion with insults
Well, you know, like making people aware of what really happened so they don't take at face value what the media or political activists may say.
Turns out the thread has been de-bumped lmao.
I mean regardless of video, what really happened was somebody lost their life that clearly did not deserve to. How is this even a debate?
Well there's a debate because some people believe that Floyd was killed by a racist officer, and even consider that the mere existence of police forces is racist in itself, whereas some other people believe that Floyd was tweaking on meth and simply died because of factors resulting from his own life choices rather than from some sort of institutional racism.
yea i'm just not gonna engage the argument that him being on drugs or tweaking out justifies anything seen on any video.. but i'll let others have at it
...So, what's the point of this post. Either way, a 185lb man needlessly lost his life because a poorly-trained cop decided he'd stand an a man's neck for 8 minutes longer than he really needed to.
