Getting up to speed on econometrics for macro analysis

What advice would you give to a junior with a weak math background that needs to get up to speed on econometrics for macro analysis? What steps would you suggest? How long could it take to be semi useful? Thanks

What software are you using? I found Stata to be super useful for econometrics

Software won’t fix anything. If you can’t understand the data, there’s nothing the software will do to help. OP sounds like they just got a shit grade in econometrics and is looking for a quick PDF to get up to speed.

There is no trick or shortcut here. Take a stats class, re-read your econometrics textbook, and learn the math you’re weak with.

Edit: I see you’re working already. Yeah man, read a book. That simple.
